![]() With the introduction of the Tigran and Frostling races and the new Necromancer class, players must adapt to a world on the brink of cataclysmic change. ![]() I couldn't care less about Halflings(always hated the tiny jerks) but the City Upgrades were what drove me to it because I really liked the concept and extra diversity.Eternal Lords is the major, second expansion for the acclaimed strategy game Age of Wonders III, marking one year of continuous development since its release. Personally, I grabbed Golden Realms for the Magic City Upgrade system. For example, having the crystal/magic tree site in your domain lets you build the Enchanted Armory which gives Armored Units produced extra Defense or Resistence or something.Įternal Lords on the other hand gives you a new Class Necromancer, an arguable better campaign than vanilla campaigns, cosmetics, the Tigran playable Race, extra Treasure Sites with their own rewards(they also mix with Magic City) the Racial Governance system and a few other things I can't remember off-hand.īasically you aren't missing anything aside from Magic City upgrades and Halfling Race if you skip the Golden Realms expansion. The City upgrades provide buildable structures that give you bonuses based on the Treasure Sites within a city's domain. Basically the biggest deal with Golden Realms is the Magic City Upgrades and Halflings. The first expansion Golden Realms, gives you the Halfling playable Race, Halfling Campaign and adds a few custom Leader cosmetics(I think) and the Magic City Upgrades and structures.
